Its goal is to give voice to designers as well as features advance categories which filters content relevant to the interest of  every media professionals linking them not only to the products and designers but to the stories behind every brand. New York – E-commerce company Cityblis has announced a new social platform for fashion.

Cityblis works directly with designers and consumers, cutting out the middleman, therefore cutting prices, on designer gear on a straight B2B and B2C platform. The company is working with 200 designers before the official launch and will bring 500 on board afterwards.  Christopher Price is COO and talks about the company’s goal.

“We are empowering designers to build brands.  Cityblis is working to remove business barriers to make international fashion more accessible to anyone, anywhere. Shopping is an experience…an event to be enjoyed…and online shopping should not be any different.”

From the Cityblis press release:

Cityblis has introduced new ‘fashion’ and ‘shopping’ streams to give users full interaction with friends, shop owners, industry professionals and others. Cityblis implements 3 different streams, each of which offers a unique type of engagement. Users can select from the ‘Trend Forecast Stream’, the ‘Cityblis Stream’ or ‘My Stream’.   As an example the “Trend Forecast Stream” displays Cityblis’ highest rated stores, products and news based on users’ ratings and engagement. Through this stream users are able to see the hottest products, the most popular topics and predict the trends of tomorrow.

Cityblis is abel to offers its services for free; thanks to the backing of a number of international entities, such as European Union’s Development Association, Swedish Growth Organizations, UK Trade & Investment. Cityblis describes itself as “more than just an internet platform”. The company sees itself as a way to connect shoppers and designers of which they may otherwise not be aware, and a way to give those designers a constant online presence and a direct, captive audience to which they can market their products. Partnerships with international fashion magazines, design institutes, retail associations and the aforementioned entities bring international fashion to those who love it.
